Sickle cell disease affects millions of children and families around the world. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that it affects around 100,000 Americans. They also estimate that sickle cell disease occurs among 1 out of every 16,300 Hispanic-American and around 1 out of every 365 African-American births.

It only takes a few simple steps to help—you can simply start a fundraising campaign and encourage your family, friends, and colleagues to make charitable donations and supports to those affected by sickle cell disease.
Fundraising for Sickle Cell Disease(SCD) is an inspiring and uplifting way to save lives, support sickle cell research, improve treatments, and ultimately find a cure. Sickle cell disease has not received the attention and support it needs in order to find better treatment options and research to find a cure.
