Dallas Sickle Cell Organization exists to raise local and global awareness about sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait, as well as improve the lives of people living with sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait carriers. We provide a unique and customizable set of services and resources that help effect real change based on each individual’s health concerns, lessening the burden for their family members, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and communities, both within the sickle cell community and through our initiatives for the community at large. We strive for affordable healthcare system improvements in the care and treatment of those living with sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait because all patients deserve accommodating access to appropriate healthcare services that they need when they need them. We help to increase research funding, and also educate and seek changes that will eliminate the root causes of sickle cell disease.
